The Acupuncture Society of MA is looking for patients willing to testify about the benefits of acupuncture and how it has supported them. This is for House Bill 566. If you have insurance, testifying to how having it supported you to receive acupuncture, and if you don't, how great it would be if you had insurance to cover the cost of your chosen form of adjunct health care. We will be gathering at 10:30 and waiting for the time the bill comes up. Meet us in A-1 (or ask for the joint health care testimony room).

You can just show up or register here Legislative Hearing on H566 An Act Relative to the practice of Acupuncture

This week we moved our website to a new home on the internet www.AcuSocietyMA.org and have given it a great spring makeover! We hope you find it more user-friendly. It is also now mobile responsive.

Although www.AOMSM.org forwards to the new site, we recommend that you update any bookmarked pages you may have created in the past.

You can reach us at our new email admin@AcuSocietyMA.org. If you aren't seeing our eblasts in your inbox, check your spam/junk folders. We recommend that you white list the new address just to be sure.

We wanted to let everyone know that over the next few hours our website will be moving from www.AOMSM.org to www.AcuSocietyMa.org (yes, unfortunately someone already owned ASM). This matches our recent name change from the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Society of Massachusetts to the Acupuncture Society of Massachusetts.

Watch for additional announcements once the move is complete as we share some of the new features and give you some tips!

Please note that future emails will come from admin@AcuSocietyMa.org. If you don't see them in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folders. To ensure delivery, you may want to white list our new email address!

Please join us on May 15th at the State House in Boston as we gather to support the acupuncture profession, network with colleagues and meet legislators. This is a great opportunity to help educate our elected officials about the importance of Acupuncture within the healthcare system.

Please bring your patients and anyone you know who advocates for Chinese medicine. We will be offering mini auricular treatments and refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you. Click here to register

Once again, bills have been introduced to bring acupuncture and East Asian Medicine into the Massachusetts’ public health sphere and to mandate insurance coverage for pain management, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse treatment, and nausea. Because of acupuncture’s increased visibility in the State House and the opioid crisis, we think there is a great chance of passing the bills this session. Read more
